The optics are made of BK-7 glass, and the lenses are protected with several layers of anti-reflective coating. The shell is protected from dust and moisture penetration. Neither rain nor snow will harm the optics. Levenhuk Blaze 60 PLUS is filled with nitrogen, which prevents the lenses from fogging.
You can install this spotting scope on a tripod for stationary observations. Any camera tripod with a 1/4" thread will do. The kit includes a small tabletop tripod necessary for observing at high magnification: that minimizes image trembling.
