The thermometer features preset programs for the most popular types of meat automatically suggesting the ideal target temperature and cooking time for flawless results. Bake grill or barbecue with confidence and enjoy delicious meals every time.
Controlling the thermometer is simple because you can easily toggle between the settings and make adjustments using the central scroll wheel. Simply rotate it to select the meat type and doneness set the target temperature or start the countdown timer for up to 12 hours. The thermometer will alert you with a sound signal when your food is ready or when the timer finishes.
During temperature measurement the screen backlight changes color to indicate the status showing white for low temperature green for normal and red for high. The clear LCD display is easily visible from a distance and the font is easy to read. A special indicator on the screen will remind you when it’s time to replace the batteries. Two AAA batteries provide approximately 600 hours of use which is enough for an entire grilling season. If you forget to turn it off it will automatically shut down after one minute of inactivity to save battery power.
The probe is IP65 rated protecting it against dust and water splashes so it can be safely washed under running water. However the main unit is not waterproof and therefore it must not be placed underwater because this will damage the device.
