Kelvin: Optics for smartphones. Focus on What Matters!
Kelvin: Optics for smartphones. Focus on What Matters!

This digital project blurs the lines between the convenience of mobile photography and the power of professional optics.

The road to a stunning astrophoto is usually long: learning the techniques, taking many frames, and painstakingly stacking them in software. The Levenhuk Kelvin Bright STM127 Smart Telescope shortens that journey to just one clear night. While the mount tracks the target, the camera gathers light and combines frames in real time. The image unfolds on your smartphone screen right before your eyes: first the outlines, then the structure, and finally the color. A breathtaking space photo is ready on your very first try, even if this is your first telescope.

Observe and capture images simultaneously

Observing the cosmos with your own eyes is the most inspiring part. While the guidescope and its astronomy camera gather light from a distant galaxy for a photo, you can enjoy nearby star clusters through the eyepiece. Want to capture the Moon or planets up close? Simply move the camera to the main tube to get a memorable shot on your smartphone.

After sunrise, the smart telescope turns into a powerful spotting scope. Spires, building facades, cliffs, and birds all instantly appear on your smartphone screen. With just one tap, you can share the moment with friends.

The most detailed model in the series

The STM127 is the flagship of the Levenhuk Kelvin Bright series. It gathers more light and reveals details beyond the reach of other models in the lineup: the Cassini division in Saturn's rings, the shadows of Galilean moons on Jupiter's disk, and chains of lunar craters.

Use your smartphone instead of a hand controller and computer

Control everything from the mobile app. Select a target from a catalog of 100,000 objects, and the telescope will automatically point to it using its compass and GPS. Unlike classic GoTo mounts, the pointing is not approximate but precise; the smart system adjusts the tube until the object is exactly centered in the frame.

Images are sent to your smartphone via fast dual-band Wi-Fi – no cables needed. The internal memory stores up to 8,000 photos. The sturdy steel tripod dampens vibrations, which is crucial for long focal length optics and long-exposure imaging. When you are ready for more, the camera is compatible with professional astrophotography software, so you can grow with Levenhuk Kelvin Bright without replacing your gear.

Key features:

  • Flagship of the series offering maximum detail on the Moon, planets, and double stars
  • Simultaneous observation and imaging allows you to look through the eyepiece while the astronomy camera captures photos
  • Auto-stacking technology reveals colorful images of nebulae and galaxies right on your smartphone during the shoot
  • Precise GoTo with a 100,000-object catalog keeps your target perfectly centered
  • No computer required thanks to dual-band Wi-Fi, a free mobile app, and built-in memory for 8,000 images
  • Daytime mode transforms the smart telescope into a spotting scope with live streaming to your smartphone
  • The horizontal mirror image is not an issue for astronomy, and during daytime use, only text appears reversed
